Taken in the Danish countryside these romanticised, digitally manipulated, photographs illustrate an entire hunt and the hunting culture in one image. The photographs are scenic and meditative and allow us to question the passing of time. Sondergaard and Howalt demonstrate how hunting, once a basic act of survival, is in the modern era a staged activity, and now practised as a hobby within a civilised framework.
