Peter Blake
|
Peter Blake (b. 1932, Kent) was a pioneer of the British Pop Art movement. Although his work has evolved significantly over the years, he is perhaps still best known for his iconic album cover of The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, for which Blake only received £200. Blake was made a Royal Academician in 1981, and awarded a knighthood for his services to art in 2002.
