Henry Moore

The British artist Henry Moore is one of the most celebrated sculptors of his generation. Moore, though reluctant to join any stylistic grouping, was more interested in Surrealism, and showed at the International Exhibition of Surrealist Art held in London in 1936. This was also the year in which his work was first seen in the USA: he was included in an exhibition entitled Cubism and Abstract Art at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The best of his late work is to be found in his drawings such as these Sheep drawings.
