James Lloyd
|
The British painter James Lloyd won the BP portrait prize in 1998. His works are in both private and public collections throughout Europe. Lloyd’s highly emotive portraits characterise his subjects with an unnerving intensity, this is further reflected in his treatment of seemingly mundane subjects such as a plastic bag. Disregarded objects from the everyday become objects of contemplation.
