Simon Starling

Simon Starling is an English artist who is best known for winning the Turner Prize in 2005. His winning piece "Shedboatshed (Mobile Architecture No 2)" is a wooden shed which Starling dismantled and converted into a boat, reconstructing it into a shed in a museum in Basel, Switzerland. Starling is fascinated by the idea of transforming one object into another and much of his work reflects this.
